What we shipped in June
June was packed with new features and improvements. Here’s everything we shipped this month.
New: Conversation Starters
Help visitors start a conversation with a single click.
With Conversation Starters, you can display suggested questions as soon as someone opens your AI Agent. Visitors simply click a question to start the conversation, no typing required.
Whether they want to track an order, find a product, request a quote, or contact support, Conversation Starters help customers get answers faster while increasing engagement with your AI Agent.
A redesigned Agent Activation experience
We’ve completely redesigned the Agent Activation flow with a cleaner interface, improved channel management, real-time activation updates, and a smoother onboarding experience.
Whether you’re launching your first AI Agent or managing dozens, activating an agent now requires fewer steps and provides better visibility into connected channels.
Agent Actions become even more powerful
We’ve expanded Agent Actions to give you more control over how your AI Agent behaves.
You can now manage both Search and Human Handoff directly from the Actions page, making it easier to control how your agent retrieves information and when conversations should be transferred to your team.
More importantly, this update lays the foundation for a growing library of plug-and-play, no-code Actions. Soon you’ll be able to extend your AI Agent with new capabilities in just a few clicks, without writing a single line of code.
We’ve also improved the reliability of Search and Human Handoff throughout the platform.
Native Shopify integration is ready
One of our biggest projects this month was our new native Shopify integration.
The integration has been completed and is currently awaiting approval from Shopify. Once available, you’ll be able to install the Watermelon app directly from the Shopify App Store and connect your store within minutes.
Your AI Agent will be able to:
Answer product questions using your complete Shopify catalog
Search products and check real-time availability
Retrieve recent orders
Update customer shipping addresses
View and update shopping carts
Personalize conversations using Shopify customer data
We’re also introducing a new generation of rich shopping experiences inside the widget. Instead of only displaying text responses, AI Agents can present interactive product carousels, recent orders, shopping carts, and address management directly inside the conversation.
This creates a much more seamless shopping experience for your customers.
We’ll announce the integration as soon as it’s available in the Shopify App Store.
